Welcome to the new linky party at Make It Monday!
We are thrilled to be sponsored by Nicecrane Designs this week. The talented Ignacio offers digital images, collage sheets, backgrounds and so much more in his online store. I enjoyed working with this image which is part of the Sugar and Spice DSL 1 collage sheet. Here's a preview of more vintage images in this fantastic collection.
Pick of the Week
I love this bird cage which is beautifully adorned with white gardenias. There's a tutorial on Joann's blog showing how she created these gorgeous blooms so you might want to check that out. Thanks for sharing your creative talent with us at MIM Joann!
Ignacio is generously providing a $20 gift voucher to our winner!

Spring or Summer is the new challenge at The Squirrel and The Fox and I opted to create a spring card. Our current sponsor is Oak Pond Creations and Kimberly was kind enough to supply the DT with images to create with. I am using Georgia's Daisies and I've paired it with She Art papers by Christy Tomlinson for a bright, fun feel.
Congrats to our Winner and Top 3 of Challenge #38-Fairytale or Fantasy!
Prize is 3 free digi stamps of choice.
Thanks again to Kimberly for supplying the DT with images to create with. For more inspiration visit my teamies by clicking HERE or click their links on my right sidebar.

I'm excited to be the hostess for Challenge 90, Up, Up and Away, at Top Tip Tuesday. Once again we are sponsored by the uber talented Zlatoena's Design at Etsy and they provided the DT with three adorable images to create with. I chose Hot Air Balloon and matched it with fun papers from MME-Out of the Blue collection. Die cut clouds add some whimsy and the sentiment, which is by Verve, echoes the challenge theme and completes my easel card.
To create this card I cut a 6x12 strip of cardstock and placed the long horizontal end on my Scor Pal. I scored (from the left) at 3" and 6" creating my score lines, folded the lines and cut my paper strips. Spellbinders circle dies frame my colored image and I attached double stick tape on the lower half to adhere to the bottom panel. Easy peasy! There are so many variations of easel cards out there in the blogsphere which I hope to get around to making this year. If you like easel cards check out Splitcoaststampers resource page and enter easel cards in search bar to get started. I also love the center step cards that the talented Desire Fourie creates and she has a tutorial page for you on her blog. Here's the front of my card which is unfortunately bowed due to my leaving it propped up for days before taking this picture, sorry.
Prize: 2 Digi images of winners choice.
Top Tipper Prize
Prize offered to 1 lucky winner is: 3 packs of die cuts.
Okay, it's over to you now so let's see your Up, Up and Away paper creations at Top Tip Tuesday. Don't forget you can enter up to 3 projects and 3 tips, good luck!

|Sentiment and image on die cut by TE|
Did you hear the news? We have a new design team member and I hope all of you will give Jenny a warm Make It Monday welcome. Every DT Call entry was fab and I know it was hard for Michelle to choose only one but we are delighted to have Jenny on board with us. She designed a delightful card using our current sponsor that you will not want to miss.
The linky party at Make It Monday is now open and we want to see your papercrafting projects, old or new, in our gallery. That's right, your creation does not have to be new so look through those oldies but goodies and share them with us. Our sponsor this week is Saturated Canary and I'm using Usherette on my card. We are big movie buffs at my house so I'll use this card to ask my DH for a date night when the youngest leaves the nest in August. ;) For those of you who love working with digital images you know how much fun it is to color Krista's images. I love the eyes on her girls and the expression behind them!
I switched gears for the inside of my card and used a stamp and sentiment from TE's Cuppie Love Scenes which is too funny. I needed to continue my movie theme but found that I need stamps in that category. It's one more stamp set that I can check off my stamp count list (see top left sidebar) though so I'm happy. Be sure to click the photo to see the mad cupcake on the right, a little perturbed ya think lol?!?
Krista is generously offering
to our winning commenter.
Remember, to be in the running to win the prize from our sponsor this week just leave a comment for another entry. Be sure to mention you saw them on Make It Monday. The more entries you comment on the more chances you have of winning!
Pick of the Week is...
I love everything about this card! This is one of my fave color combinations and Pat's stitching is amazing. The touch of gingham, wonderful image and sentiment complete this sweet card. Click her link to see more photos and leave some comment love. Thanks Pat for sharing your talent with us at Make It Monday!
and my second Pick of the Week is...
I could not resist choosing this as my second entry being that I'm a huge Alice in Wonderland fan. My daughter is too and she'll go mad :) when she sees this project. Please click Blackdragon's link to see more photos of this ingenious creation and the challenge that inspired her to make it. (I'm sure she won't mind if you leave her some comment love too!) Thanks for sharing your talent with us at Make It Monday!
For more inspiration visit my teamies by clicking HERE to go to the challenge blog or you'll find their links on my right sidebar. A big thank you goes to Krista Smith, creative talent behind SC, for supplying the DT with beautiful images to create with. It's your turn now and we can't wait to see your gorgeous paper creations!

My DH and big sis celebrate birthday's in March, his is on the second and hers is the third. The weird thing is both of them were born at Southern Baptist Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, four years apart. Pretty cool, huh? I think so! Needless to say, I've been busy making birthday cards and buying presents. :) First card up is my DH's and I kept it simple, like he likes it. He's not into "fluff and stuff" so I tried to honor that and I created a tag that has a simple, masculine feel to it as well. I used Glitz's Yours Truly paper and red cs to create this fun birthday card for him. For inspiration I turned to Seems A Little Sketchy #33 sketch and I like the results. A little softness was brought in with velvet scalloped ribbon and a trio of champagne pearls but don't point that out, okay. ;)

My sister's card pays homage to her sewing ability as a quilter and seamstress, a gene which unfortunately I did not inherit. :( I'm not sure why sewing machines scare me like they do, perhaps it's because I'm clumsy and very likely to run over my own finger with the needle in motion. IDK, just sayin'! The flower in the center, My Favorite Things Upsy Daisy Die, is one of her favorite flowers and I backed it with a circle Spellbinders die in teal (a fave color of hers). Stringing the white buttons from our mom's stash is about as close as it gets to sewing for me, for now lol. The dp's are from October Afternoon's Thrift Shop and Fly A Kite. Here are a few close ups...
That's all today, we'll be celebrating my husband's birthday tomorrow and tonight I'll prepare his favorite meal which happens to be Chicken Piccata. It's Giada's recipe and he devours it every time. :) He also loves Beatty's Chocolate Cake which I need to go and prepare right now. :) Have a super weekend and for those of you who've been inundated with snow I am so sorry. I do hope the weather gets better and spring arrives on time this year!
