Top Tip Tuesday-Numbers

Over at Top Tip Tuesday I am the host for the next two weeks and we want to see numbers on your paper projects. Like I said on the challenge blog numbers are a fantastic way to personalize your birthday or anniversary cards. Here's my tip: I used a die to create numbers from chipboard, made another set of numbers from designer paper and adhered with adhesive spray. Easy peasy!

Here's the link to the digital image I used from Bugaboo Stamps, Cupcake Circle Tag.

Prize is 7 Digis of winners choice!

Thank you for providing the DT with images to create with. :)

Prize is 2 Shape EZ templates of winners choice!

Make It Monday #141 with Bugaboo Stamps

It's time for a new linky party to begin at Make It Monday, are you ready? Our sponsor once again is the fun and whimsical Bugaboo Stamps. I'm using Kitchen Jar on a card I made for my daughter. She's off to college in August and I've included a gift card to help with needed kitchen supplies. I can hardly believe the time is near for the "baby" to fly the coop but as the saying goes I am putting my big girl panties on and dealing with it. ;) Ugh!

It's a simple card that I created using a Recollections value pack of premade cards, blue cardstock and a striped paper by The Paper Studio. My image was colored with Copic markers and a red glaze pen adds a touch of faux stitching to my gift card pocket which I created using a Spellbinders Large Label die. Martha's Lace Doily border punch was my choice for creating a division between my papers and adding a pop of color. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions The Moka Collection-Olivia and was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.

Now for my PICK OF THE WEEK which is...

Suzette did a fabulous job coloring this image and I love the variety of papers, embellishments and texture she used on her card. Those clouds just draw you in and her card is gorgeous! She has more photos on her blog so be sure to check those out and leave her some comment love. :)

Thanks for sharing your talent with us at Make It Monday!

Make It Monday #136 with Bugaboo Stamps

Welcome!

A new linky party just opened at Make It Monday and our sponsor this week is the super cute and fun Bugaboo Stamps. I'm a fan of the JJ digital images at Bugaboo and this image, JJ Gardening, looks right at home on my mixed media art journal page. For those of us here in the US it's springtime which means it is time to spruce up the yard and plant new flowers. That was my inspiration for this mixed media project and it was fun to get my supplies out and just play. It's very therapeutic and I highly recommend it. :)

Thank you Bugaboo Stamps for supplying the design team with images to create with!

Now for my Pick of the Week which is...

I love the colors Julia used and that was the initial attraction for me. However, the reason I chose it as my POTW was the post she wrote that explained the meaning behind her art journal page. I highly recommend you read it HERE for yourself. Thanks Julia for sharing your talent with all of us at Make It Monday!

Laviously Lucious Layers at Top Tip Tuesday

Hello and welcome, it's time to kick off a new challenge at Top Tip Tuesday and this one is all about layers. Paper, buttons, ribbon/trim, flowers, bling-the more the merrier! A friendly reminder that if you would like to be in the running for our guest designer spot then leave a tip on your blog and put (Tip) beside your name when you link up. Good Luck!

My card features Scene It-Ladybugs digi image by Bugaboo Stamps and I colored it with Copic markers and added a touch of bling to the flower centers. A white gel pen accents the eyes of the cute ladybugs and the large leaves. This image reminds me that spring is just around the corner (sorta) and I'm so ready. To see more fun images drop by their online shop and browse their fantastic selection. There's something for everyone!

Here's my Tip-to achieve an easy sky background simply stamp (with a blending tool) Tumbled Glass Distress Ink all over. Work quickly and keep it light adding more depth as needed. Note: I always color my image first.

My inside sentiment is from Hero Arts Thoughtful Messages and the bling ladybug is by Zva Creative. The red panel was embossed with a Cuttlebug Polka Dots 5x7 embossing folder and the black panel was the negative of my frame die on the front. A white gel pen was used to create the border and I stamped the sentiment on the negative of the smaller frame die (part of the set by Spellbinders) and popped the smaller frame up on foam dots for dimension. I do hope I haven't confused anybody lol.

A big thank you to Bugaboo Stamps for providing the design team with images

and for offering the winner 7 Digi images of their choice.

Top Tipper Prize - Fred She Said $20 voucher!

Our fabulous January Designer Clarissa wowed us with two amazing creations this month.
Thank you Clarissa for joining us!

That's all for me today, glad you dropped by and spent some time with me. I do hope you'll pop by my teamie's blogs to see what they have in store for you. You can view their beautiful work at TTT or click their links on my right sidebar.

Welcome to the new linky party starting at Make It Monday!

We're sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps this week and I'm using JJ Calendar Months-January for my calendar page. I love this sassy gal and she certainly knows how to have a good time!

Bugaboo Stamps is offering a very generous prize of winner's choice of 7 single digi's.

For my January calendar I also incorporated a calendar stamp from Just Rite Stampers and alpha's from Hampton Art. The calendar was drawn by freehand and I spelled out my sentiment with a Dymo label maker. Easy peasy!

Pick of the Week

I love this tag!!!

Challenge 33 at The Squirrel and The Fox

It's here, time for our annual Christmas challenge at The Squirrel & The Fox. We can't wait to see your Christmas creations and I am showcasing Tropical Santa-Surfing by our sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps. It's good to see Santa relaxing before the big day and it looks like he may have slimmed down a little this year. ;-) We hope you will join us and be sure to visit the inspiration by the entire team by visiting the challenge blog or clicking their links on my right sidebar. Congrats to our winners of the Summer or Winter challenge! Here are some close ups of this surfin' hottie lol.

The palm tree & cloud duo dies are by TE, I embossed the blue background
with TE's clouds impression plate as well. Twine makes a great ski rope. :)

Santa's hat was flocked, his beard/moustache stickle'd and glossy accents
were added to the gorgeous blue Caribbean water. I used Cosmo Cricket's
Tiny Type alpha's to spell my sentiment out.

Make It Monday #119 with Bugaboo Stamps

Well the Christmas countdown is officially on in my house. I have 13 days to pull a rabbit out of the hat and whip my Christmas preparations into shape before my son and new daughter-in-law arrive. Trouble is, my list keeps growing daily lol. I do hope you are fairing the hustle & bustle of the holidays and having fun along the way. Speaking of having fun, it's time for a new linky party at Make It Monday and this week we are sponsored by the generous folks at Bugaboo Stamps.

I'm using Old World Santa 4 for my trio of ornaments which will hang on my woodland tree. We are a multi tree home and this one is chock full of fishing ornaments, shotgun shell lights, woodworking Santa's and other fun outdoorsy images. After coloring my three images with Copics I fussy cut them, flocked his hat in white and applied Stickles to his moustache/beard & lantern.

The background is a Spellbinders Label 7 die and each one was cut from a dp in the MME Lost & Found Christmas collection. Taylored Expression's helped out with their Trim the Tree die and I cut it from dark green corrugated cardstock that I've had for too long. ;-) I thought about adding snow with gesso but ran out of time so I might go back and do that later, we'll see. Instead of stamping or creating a sentiment I used K & Co. 3D stickers and called it good. Now for my Pick of the Week which is ...

I love this Tilda nativity scene with Mary, baby Jesus and that sweet angel with her sparkly wings. Mandy's sentiment is perfect and so is her coloring which is absolutely beautiful. She finished it off with amazing layers and I'm so happy you shared this with us Mandy.

Challenge #31-Anything Goes

Hello and welcome back to the new challenge, Anything Goes, at The Squirrel and The Fox. Congratulations to the Winner and Top 3 of Challenge #30!  We're sponsored for the next two weeks by Bugaboo Stamps and for my project I used this cute Snowman Tag to top my altered Altoids tin. I'm using it as a gift card holder and should note that I added the red & green border with a fine point Sharpie pen. I colored the image with Copic markers and finished by adding Stickles to the berries & bling to the snowflakes. Easy peasy, now it's your turn to show us your creations!

Make It Monday #115 with Bugaboo Stamps

Hello and Welcome!

It's time for another linky party at Make It Monday and we're eager to see your creations fill the gallery once again. Our wonderful sponsor this week is the fun & whimsical Bugaboo Stamps and I've used JJ Calendar Months-February on my mixed media art journal page. It's been a while since I've had time to play in my art journal but this image seemed a perfect fit for this type of project. Before I share how I created this page I would like to congratulate our winner from last week's linky party and thank all of you for the wonderful inspiration you share each week.

I love this blue butterfly & fun rub ons from Hambly Screen Prints.

A Dymo label maker spells out my new motto. ;-)

Flowers in all shapes & sizes create texture and visual interest.

The grasshopper, ladybug, butterfly, and black flower are rub ons.

Now for the deets, I used ink sprays by Dylusions in London Blue, Cut Grass & Pure Sunshine. After spraying my page in puddles of color I spritzed it with water (as Dyan does), let the colors run together and dabbed the excess with a paper towel. To add dimension I applied modeling paste on top of my flower stencil in random places and carefully lifted it leaving the raised impression. After it dried I decided to add pops of color by painting the petals of my flowers with acrylic paint and adding bling to the centers. Black flower rub ons add depth to my background and pretty butterfly rub ons add color. A MS butterfly was punched out of red holographic paper and a trio of yellow pearls was added to create a 3D butterfly fluttering about on my page while paper flowers add to the 3D effect as well. I'm a big polka dot fan so I added some in various places by stenciling over a piece of punchinella and using Christy Tomlinson's She Art rub ons. The sun was hand cut from a dp in Christy's She Art paper collection by Pink Paislee which I outlined with a black doodle pen and rub ons add visual interest. About this time I decided on the words I wanted to journal for this page and everyone has heard this phrase, I'm sure. For me personally I am at a point where I need to heed what they say and be content right where I am. ;-) As for JJ, she was printed onto Choice Snow White by TE and colored with Copic markers. I fussy cut her and outlined the edges with a black Copic marker, applied Mod Podge to the back and brushed her on. A black Faber Castell Pitt pen was used to shade and sink her into the background so she looks like she's been there all the time. Mixed media is so much fun and if you've never given it a try I encourage you too!

Pick of the Week

I love everything about this card from the mix of fab patterned paper to the amazing coloring on this sweet little chef and her towering birthday cake. Tracy is quite the Copic artist I'm a big fan of her signature style. To see more of this wonderful card click on her link and leave her some love. :) Thanks Tracy for sharing your talent with us at Make it Monday!

Before I close I want to wish veterans here in the USA a "Happy Veterans Day" and thank veterans everywhere who have teamed with our Armed Forces in protecting the freedom of all. It is a day to remember the fallen and the sacrifice they made on behalf of freedom. Everyone has the right to live free and none should have to live in tyranny or oppression. Most of you know that my son, and daughter-in-law, are currently serving in the U. S. Army. I am grateful that everyday new people volunteer to serve this country and defend it by joining the military. May God Bless all veterans and those currently serving to protect our way of life and the freedoms we enjoy!

Happy Veteran's Day!

Make It Monday #110 with Bugaboo

Welcome to the weekly Make It Monday linky party! We're so happy you choose to join us each week and fill the gallery with gorgeous creations for us to drool over. ;) Congratulations to our winner and to the POTW's chosen by the design team every week. I also want to welcome Michelle back after a three week holiday, we've missed you. While she was away Lisa M. held the fort down and she did a fantastic job of keeping the MIM blog running smoothly and us (well me) in line lol.

Bugaboo Stamps is our current sponsor and I loved working with their detailed digi image, Silhouette Pumpkin. It's guaranteed to spook! I know all of us want to thank Bugaboo for supplying the design team with fab images to work with and sponsoring MIM on a frequent basis. :) I printed the image onto orange cardstock and die cut the panel with a Labels 15 die by Spellbinders. The ribbon has been in my stash for awhile so it was nice to find a use for it. A Spellbinders die cut circle gave me a place to stamp my sentiment from Waltzingmouse's Cicely at Halloween set which I shadow stamped. (I stamped the sentiment twice to create a shadow effect) I love it when that technique works the first time lol. Four orange goosebumps anchor my black panel and the kraft polka dot dp is from MME's Haunted 12x12 pack. Simple, sweet and oh so scary!

My Pick of the Week is #60 Morgan and the terrific Christmas project she crafted for her in-laws living in the US. She's done a fab job using the Tropical Santa digi by Bugaboo Stamps and reflecting what Christmas is like in Australia. To see more photos please click the link and leave Morgan some comment love while you're visiting. ;)
