A Trio of Tags

We have a brand new challenge at Top Tip Tuesday and it's Anything Goes. We're sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and I'm using Snowflake Reindeer Silhouette on my trio of Christmas tags. I know it's a bit early for Christmas but I recently walked into Hobby Lobby and they literally have ALL of their holiday stuff out. I couldn't believe it and just decided to go with the flow and start on my holiday paper crafting a bit early this year. ;)

I used Taylored Expressions Frame It Up die for the base of my tags and Spellbinders Classic Ovals Lg. and Scalloped Ovals for the digital image. A red and green atyou Spica pen helped with my faux stitches and I distressed every edge with peeled paint and festive berries distress ink. The gingham ribbon was in my stash and I used a red button with twine on the middle tag. Simple and sweet!

One lucky winner will receive 7 free digis!

Thanks Bugaboo Stamps for providing the DT with images to create with!

Have a great day,
Lisa xx

Christmas Tags with Nicecrane

by water...

Hi, so glad you stopped by today! It's been a while since I've been able to showcase some of Ignacio's beautiful vintage images at his online store, Nicecrane Designs. A shoulder injury is to blame but so happy to report that I'm on the mend and back in my crafty room. :) I'll be back all next week with new and exciting projects showcasing some of my favorite images from Nicecrane. Today's offering is four tags featuring vintage images of Santa Claus which I adore. As you'll see, sometimes Santa has to get out of the sleigh and adapt his method of gift delivery to good boys & girls all over the world. My method of gift giving is not quite as exciting as Santa's but I do try and make my packages look as festive as possible. For my tags I printed out two collage sheets and trimmed each image with a paper cutter. I made two handmade tags using a plain manila folder and the other two were created with dies and a pre-made tag. Note: I've added Stickles to each one because it is holiday time and I wanted a bit of sparkle under the tree. ;) Now here's the other three with close ups of each.

Love the steampunk feel of this one,
couldn't resist using Sprighly Sprockets
dies to embellish.

Santa calling Mrs. Claus for directions ;-)

I used Spellbinders 2010 Christmas Ornament dies
and Pink Paislee's City Sidewalks paper collection.

It seems everyone this year is running behind in their Christmas preparations. If you are I'll have some last minute gift, table setting, and home decor ideas that I will be sharing throughout next week featuring images from Nicecrane. In the meantime you can check out all of the vintage goodness that Ignacio has to offer by visiting Nicecrane Designs and be sure to visit the blog for more inspiration as well. One more thing before I go, a big welcome to Alison (aka butterfly) who recently joined the design team. I am thrilled she's on board with us and you'll want to check out her first DT project, The Year in Poetry, here. :) Here are the fab collage sheets I worked with.

Christmas Tags

Hello all, it is nearly noon here and I'm running late with this post today. I'd like to share with you my "first" set of Christmas tags and even though I did not have grommets, like I've seen on so many cool tags, I pressed forward and just used a hole punch. I'll have to add these to my ever growing shopping list as we really do live two weeks from anywhere. :-)

The patterned paper is from MME's 12 Days of Christmas and I love all of the papers in this pack. There are so many options and my mind is whirling with ideas. I used two stamp images from Taylored Expressions and stickles, pearls and ribbon finish them off. I can't wait to make more tags and the Tagged Rectangle Die from Verve made these a snap so I plan to try a variety of dies for my tag bases. Hope you'll check back to see what I come up with.

Before I forget, Verve is having a Think Pink sale which ends the 16th with 20% off all in-stock stamps and dies. Verve is donating 10% of sale proceeds to the Susan G. Komen For the Cure Foundation. It's a win-win situation! Have a blessed day and I'll see ya soon.
~Lisa
