Craftsman Style Card

Hello and Welcome!

I have a Congrats...on your New Home card to share today. It celebrates my Son and DIL's purchase of their new home which is a craftsman style home. It's sweet serendipity that the papers in the Artisan Style collection by G45 happen to feature a craftsman style home. 

Their beautiful new home...

They share it with our grand cat and two new additions-a cockatiel and a conure. They've jokingly called their home the bird house so I had to fussy cut the peacocks and include them on my card. So far they are enjoying home ownership but I don't think the lawn maintenance is that popular with our son lol. We're proud of them and their accomplishment!

I used alpha and number stickers from the sticker sheet for my sentiment and to record their house number. Although G45 has a lion door knocker this one happens to be from The Paper Studio's Spare Parts line. I'm saving the pair of G45 door knockers I have for the mini album I plan to make them in the coming weeks. This is one of the ideas I "borrowed" from G45 DT member Lori Williams. Because their house is a craftsman style I used a sticker from the sheet and placed it over the word Artisan to record their style of home. I really hope they like it!

Hi there! Sorry to be scarce around my blog these past few weeks. I'm enjoying some time with my college girl and with our recent new addition to the family, Sophia Jasmine, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She barely lets me out of her sight lol! It's been a joy having her around this past week but my craft time has definitely been put on hold. She did manage to let me spend an hour this afternoon creating these fun gift tags and a gift card using the Huge Cupcake Cutting File from The Cutting Cafe.

Cut It Out!

I'm hosting the new challenge over at Top Tip Tuesday and this time we want you to 

Cut It Out

as in a die cut, SVG/PDF, template or fussy cut an image for your project. 

Here's my Top Tip-

To create a quick and fun card use a die cut as a focal image. 

This retro phone die is by My Favorite Things and it's part of a stamp/die set. I used two of the stamps for the sentiment. Stickers from the paper collection, Echo Park's For the Record, finished my sentiment and added decorative touches to my card. 

Keeping it simple and using the sticker elements put this card in the "less than ten minutes" category. Perfect for times when you actually do not have a lot of time. ;)

Today I have a fun DT project to share that I created for The Cutting Cafe. Regina Easter, owner/designer, created a handy Craft Supply Planner Printable Set for crafters. With the detailed inventory pages you'll be able to keep track of what you have and what you need when shopping. I can't tell you how many times I've duplicated an item! This is one tool I'll use forever.
