Prize is 4 free Delicious Doodles stamps.
I'm using
Rosalee from our current sponsor and she was fun to color. A Fleur de Lis die by Spellbinders adds a touch of elegance and she's surrounded by several pink elements-butterflies, paper roses, bling, a crystal heart and twine. Because there's so much happening on the front of my card I stamped the sentiment on the inside. A little bling, organza ribbon and a handmade bow out of grosgrain ribbon complete my card.
Here's a peek...
My aunt is a breast cancer survivor (4 yrs. +) and I am on DT's with women who are currently battling this dreaded disease so I wanted them to know they are not alone. Whether you are a cancer survivor, going through your own battle, or encouraging a family member/friend people everywhere are here to support you in your fight!
On this note, I'd like to share a project my DD recently completed as a Textiles, Merchandising and Design student at college. The challenge was to create a custom designed bra for class and students could elect to enter their bra in the local
Bra's For a Cause charity auction. This nationwide annual event raises money for the
Cancer Research Institute which benefits all types of cancer research. She was inspired by the beautiful clothes that Scarlett O'Hara wore in the movie Gone With the Wind and I have to say I love her finished project. I realize I am partial ;) but her professor and classmates loved it too and encouraged her to enter the competition. The charity gala is next week so we'll see how "Modern Scarlett" fares. She has my vote!
Front of "Modern Scarlett"
A close up, love the detail on the cups :)
The bra cups had to be covered, she used velvet for the
front and satin for the inside.
Thanks for taking a look at my card and her TXMD project. :) Also, I would like to thank Teri of
Delicious Doodles for providing the DT with images to create with.
For more inspiration my teamies have an incredible line up of cards which you can see
HERE or you'll find their links on my right sidebar.
