IBSIC #37 - Photo Inspiration

Hello and welcome! I am so excited because I am the guest designer at Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge. WooHoo! As a recent challenge winner I was asked to join Joanna and the talented design team for the new challenge at IBSIC . Joanna emailed the inspiration photo to me a few weeks ago and I was immediately inspired by the gorgeous poinsettias. I pulled out my Poinsettia Christmas stamp set by Verve and went to work. She ask us to use green, red, and white for our color scheme and the papers in Authentique's Wonder collection were a perfect fit. I subbed cream for white, which Joanna approved, and used this sketch for design inspiration.

I stamped four poinsettias, colored each with Copic's, fussy cut them and layered to create a dimensional flower. My sentiment is from the same set and I used the leafy sprigs stamp and die, also by Verve, to back my flowers. The leaves were distressed with antique linen and opal liquid pearls  provide visual interest on my sentiment panel. A Spica atyou silver pen created a faux stitched border while I opted to use pearls on the circle panel. The red & white stripe separating two of my dp's is fabric tape and I added twine and a bow on top of it. A faux stitched border on my green base panel and four red pearls anchoring my dp panels finish my card.

Many thanks to Joanna and the team for choosing my Halloween Mini Album as a winner and for this wonderful opportunity to guest design. Be sure to check out all of their amazing inspiration at Inspired By Stamping Inspiration Challenge.
