Make It Monday #150 with LOTV

Front Cover of Mini Album designed by my DD, Sara S.

Welcome to the new linky party that just opened at Make It Monday.

As you know this challenge blog allows new or old paper creations and I'm adding one more twist this week. The design team was free to create anything they wanted using any image but I've chosen instead to share a project that's close to my heart. My DD altered a Melissa Frances envelope album for my birthday last month and I'd like to share it with all of you today. She's our baby and next month she leaves home for college and a brand new chapter begins in her life. Not one to let important moments pass her by she created keepsake gifts for Mother's Day and my birthday this year. I can't tell you as a mom what these precious treasures mean to me. :)

She used some of my favorite papers, beautiful trim, lots of metal elements and stick pins to accent the pages. I'll use it to store letters, photos and mementos of our family and she also chose to leave some of the pages where I can personalize them if I want to. Each page was sanded, distressed with a distressing tool, then further distressed with distress ink to give it that vintage feel I love.

Resin bird is by Melissa Frances.

A pocket for treasures, love the vintage pin and hand stitching.

Back Cover

I love the shabby chic feel of this album mixed with her metal elements. :)
Thank You Sara!

Now it's time for my POTW choice which is...

Pick of the Week

Her colored image and color choices are gorgeous. Such a pretty card!!!
Thanks for sharing your talent with us Tracey at MIM.
