Make It Monday #159

Hello and Welcome!!!

I am super excited to kick off the new linky party at Make It Monday because we have the talented Rick St. Dennis as our sponsor this week. I'm an Alice in Wonderland fan so naturally I chose Alice and Company to create with. This image was so much fun to play with and I found myself adding layers of colors to it with Copic's, Spica atyou markers and glaze pens. If you're wondering what's up with the funky flowers at the top I'll try to explain my thought process. ;) I love Tim Burton's version of Alice in Wonderland with the magnificent Johnny Depp and yes you really need to watch it in 3D. ;)  Well, in the opening scene where Alice enters Wonderland there's amazing and beautiful flowers everywhere. I had this roll of pretty ribbon on my desk and thought how can I incorporate this into my project. A light bulb went off and I decided to roll it into a flower and try to replicate the gorgeous flowers in the movie. Leaf stick pins were used for the leaves because they've gone unused for far too long in my stash. I'm not sure the interpretation came out exactly like the vision in my head but I decided to go with it anyway. Bottom line is I LOVE this image and I'm so grateful to Rick for supplying the design team with fabulous images!
