It's gone by so fast...

I'm here to share my entry for the 25th challenge at Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge which is hosted by Linda Ledbetter. It's hard to believe we only have nine challenges left. I certainly hope Tim is busy writing the 4th book in this series. ;)

It's not too late to get your autographed copy from Tim!

Here are a few close ups of my tag.

I used the "frame" and the negative cut outs on my tag.

I used the Trellis Frameworks Die to cut a sheet of cork and a dp from Tim's Wallflower Paper Stash. Next I started building the background of my tag with Cracked Pistachio, Abandoned Coral and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Sprays. I sprayed the three colors then spritzed my tag with water to tone the colors down. Tim's "flick" method was used to add some interest. The leafy vines are the remnants of a Spellbinders Grands Vine die and I inked them with a text stamp (by Tim) in Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. The paper flowers are by Prima and Recollections and I adhered everything with Ranger's Collage Glue Stick. I also used two Idea-ology metal leaf elements that were altered with Forest Moss Distress Paint. A number (#25) brad will help me remember which challenge I created this for and I finished off with Bisque Liquid Pearls by Ranger on the Trellis Frameworks die. It helps my trellis pop and the edges of my tag were distressed with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. A linen ribbon, Graphic 45 butterfly and an Idea-ology Word Stick complete my project.

Lisa, you are such a natural with mixed media. I need to get back into sharpening my skills with that. Your tag is gorgeous. I love how you did the liquid pearls to accent the trellis die cut and the colors of your flowers just really make that awesome mixed media BG pop too! A great keeper!! Good luck in your challenge too!

Gorgeous! I love how you make it sound like you were just cleaning up leftovers on your table-a little of this, a smidge of that...However, this is much more amazing than any 'bits and pieces' project I've ever made!
