Smudge Stamping Fun

Believe it or not, I'm linking this tag up before the final day of the challenge. Yay! I can do it!! This challenge focuses on a technique - Smudge Stamping - that can be found on pg. 42 of Tim's third book in the Compendium of Curiosities series. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the challenges!

{These make great gifts too!}

I used images from Tim's The Impossible stamp set on my tag and used the Smudge Stamping technique. I tried to incorporate a few colors that I don't use much, why I don't know??? Peacock Feathers, Scattered Straw and Tea Dye along with old regulars like Walnut Stain and Black Soot. The background was filled in with two of my favorite Idea-ology products-Remnant Rubs and Tissue Tape. It was fun altering the crinkle ribbon with Tea Dye distress ink and grunging up an Adage Ticket with distress inks, a little water and a good scrunching.

I couldn't resist using this trio of Remnant Rub gentlemen on my tag...seems they pop up everywhere in blog land lol. To make them stand out I glued an Idea-ology Monocle over them with Ranger's Glossy Accents. I like the old time feel of this hot air balloon so I decided (in my mind) that it was part of a hot air balloon exhibition in France circa 1896 and used Tim's Label Letters and an Index Label to record that on my tag. Using another fave product of mine I trimmed a border from the Frames and Trims Industrial Stickers sheet and added it to the stamped balloon image.

That's my tag, hope you like it!

This challenge is sponsored by The Funkie Junkie and Linda has a wonderful prize for one lucky CC3C'er!

The Funkie Junkie Boutique
Prize is a $25 gift certificate to the online store.

I'm off now to finish packing, my hubby and I are off to see our college girl later today. In the next week we'll be attending two award ceremonies for additional scholarships she has earned. We are SO proud of her, for SO many reasons especially the way she has conducted herself as a young, college woman on her own. She has studied hard and and in two weeks she's out for the summer. YAHOO! This mama can't wait to spend some serious quality time together. :-)

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
