Christmas...yes I said Christmas at The Cutting Cafe

Well I have resigned myself to the fact that I am too busy to blog these days like I used to. I can however share that I will have a rare "next day post" tomorrow with another album, one with a travel theme, early on my blog tomorrow. Maybe gradually I can get back into the swing of things, I hope so!

So today what I have for you is a design team project for The Cutting Cafe and it is a deconstructed December Daily album. Now why am I saying it's deconstructed...because it is. I used the Mixed Shapes Album Book Template and Cutting File as the inspiration and incorporated other pages as well. It is not finished and as I begin my December Daily journey I will add more items like holiday cards, programs, tickets and other mementos I want to save. By making the base of my album in advance there is a higher probability that I might actually pull off making one of these this year. Typically I plan to do something but real life gets "real" and it gets pushed off to the next year....so on and so forth. Not this year!

Here's a photo of the 5 page styles included in this file.
Mixed shapes album book
You can cut with an electronic cutter or use the included PDF to cut by hand. I used the 5th page as my outer covers and sized each to 8 x 8. The remaining pages are various sizes. As the month progresses I plan to add more plus incorporate 8x8 protector pages for large photo spreads. I'm looking forward to sharing the reveals every 5 days throughout December as a countdown to Christmas. It will be fun to look back next year and see everything we did during the busiest month of the year. :)

Now for some more photos of my album including Christmas shapes -

Christmas Shape Shaker Cards
(mitten and snowglobe)
December Daily Christmas Tree Book
(used trees without tabs)
Gingerbread Boy - Girl Shaped Card

from The Cutting Cafe which I'll use as photo mats or journaling spots.

Page on the right was cut with a paper trimmer and
a simple border of punched MS snowflakes completes it.
I did add a narrow belly band so I can slip something
in place if needed.

Page on the right is a page from the Mixed Shapes
file and it was enlarged in my Silhouette program.
So far I have added a band of white liquid pearls around
the edge to mimic the circles from the left page.

Adore the cute gingerbread boy and girl file from TCC
and I'm sure a photo (or maybe if I am generous) a recipe
for some great gingerbread will appear here. :)

This snowy scene is from Silhouette store and I am
using it as a pocket page.

Flamingoes? Yes because my friend loves them and
I know there will be a photo of him in this book.

Love vellum and clear overlays!

You can click on the photo to see better, there's a
clear snowflake overlay for this page.

You receive layers with the shaker card sets and these
are easily used as templates or shapes for other projects.

Back of the December Daily tree book

None of the pages have been decorated as you can see but they are in place and I can easily add more with the Cinch binding spine. The cut outs are there temporarily with removable dots and as I fill up the album I'll embellish to go along with the day's theme. The back is bare and may stay that way or may stamp an image or quote on it, not sure yet so we'll see.

To see more Christmas inspiration visit TCC's blog today and if you leave a comment on the design team post you will be automatically be entered to win 3 FREE Sets. Regina will announce the lucky winner on the next DT post on August 21st. Good luck to everyone!

Have a wonderful rest of the day and if you'd like a sneak peek of my travel themed album just head over to Instagram and search for me under Lisa Snowdy. The full reveal will be here tomorrow morning bright and early.
