Christmas Tags

Well I am a bit late with my design team share for ABC Christmas Challenge but nevertheless I wanted to join in. We are on the letters P, Q and R and I used two of the letters for my project - Quick and Red - to create tags for presents during the holiday season. P is for People and you can use one or all three letters on your Christmas themed project.

Samantha is hosting this time and she has a cute little Gorjuss girl stamp offered as a prize.

Our SPONSOR is

Lawn Fawn

A 6x6 stamp pad of winner's choice.

For more inspiration visit the challenge blog at the link above and don't forget to link up by the 31st.

Remember there are only 129 days left until Christmas as of this post.
It will be here before you know it! ;)

Have a great day, wherever you are!

Make It Monday #117 with Dr. Digi's House of Stamps

Gift Tag

Hello crafty people! For those of you celebrating Thanksgiving last week I hope you had a wonderful holiday. We're back with another linky party here at Make It Monday and I am using an image from our current sponsor, Doctor Digi's House of Stamps. This rustic snowman looks like he belongs in a forest so I used store bought die cuts and stickers to give my tag a woodland feel. White Liquid Applique was used to create snow and stamps from Taylored Expressions provide the snowflake background images & holiday sentiment. My gift tag was easy to create and I'll use it for Christmas gift giving which is right around the corner. ;) Now, who is my ...

Halloween Tags by Nicecrane Designs

Designed for Nicecrane Designs

I'm back today with more Halloween projects featuring Halloween Tags by Nicecrane Designs. One of the many benefits of working with digital images is that you can customize them to fit your crafting need and storage is a breeze. I imported my tags into Word and sized them to fit on my die cut rosette which I backed with a lacey circle die by Spellbinders. I used a standard circle large die also by Spellbinders to die cut my tag image and putting my medallion together was a snap. It also helped that I found these delightful treat boxes by Martha Stewart on sale because I'm in the process of putting a rather large Halloween goody basket together for the residents at my mom's nursing home. Now my biggest hurdle is making sure I keep the sugar free (for diabetic patients) boxes separate from the regular candy. ;)

Here's another photo featuring a second tag in the set and a preview sheet that shows all five. I love the shadow effect on the lettering and images and in the stamping world that is something hard to do. Sometimes it turns out like we want it to and sometimes it doesn't. (I know from experience lol.)

World Cardmaking Day!

Happy WCD to all crafty cardmakers! Just want to give you a heads up that Ellen Hutson is having a sale, which ends today, and hosting challenges in the CLASSroom throughout the day which you can enter to win great prizes. Be sure to check out what is going on over at Ellen Hutson LLC for more info.

Today I am sharing a bookmark I made for my DD who just happens to love owls and reading. I was inspired by the Boo Tag in T!m Holtz's gallery and I distressed a large blank tag with T!m's fabulous distress inks, couldn't live without them!! Then I stamped the adorable little owl at the bottom and the cloud, moon and bats. Chipboard letters and a little ribbon add the finishing touches and it was done in no time, better yet she loved it.

While I was still in crafty mode I made this tag for my MIL who has a birthday this month. She'll be 84 years young but shhhh because I have let the cat out of the bag :-) so guess it's a good thing they do not have internet (hee hee). She enjoys reading as well so I suspect it will be put to good use as a bookmark. Fall colors are her favorite so I chose this palette and went to work distressing. I used the Playful Journey stamp set by T!m and two of his masks to create some depth. The "b" is for Bobbie, which is her name, and I especially love the sentiment. Hope she likes it :-)

That's all for today, have fun crafting wherever you are!
