This is my second post today and I'm back to play along with three of my favorite colors in the CR84FN64 Color Challenge. The main colors are light blue, yellow and green and I couldn't resist using them to create my very first flap book. I used three of the six pages in the kit to create this keepsake book for my son and new daughter-in-law. They tied the knot on the 29th of September after learning the Army planned to send her overseas when she graduates from her Advanced Individual Training  in December. He doesn't graduate until next May and the possibility of being sent to the same place was slim and neither could handle that option. She is perfect for him and a wonderful new addition to our family. I've never seen him happier, which makes his mom very happy. They plan on having a traditional wedding next year after he graduates and I'm looking forward to that because I never thought I'd watch my son get married via Skype. Sometimes you just have to roll with it lol. Here's the beautiful inspiration photo showcasing my happy colors. ;)

To remain true to the color challenge I am only including the front cover and three main tri-fold pages plus the top loading photo/journal mats. I'll share the flap pages and other photo mats in my next post because this one is photo heavy already so lets get started. I used the Bo Bunny Country Garden 12x12 paper pack to create this book and all of the photo/journal mats. The cut out sheets were put to use as well as the cardstock stickers. You can see one of the cardstock stickers on the first tri-fold page under the yellow photo mat. This was so much fun to create and I will go more into detail on my next post but I'm pressed for time because today is my DD's 18th birthday and we are leaving soon for a spa day. I'm so ready after the last few weeks around this crazy house. :)

First tri-fold page

Second tri-fold page

First pg. of third tri-fold, throughout the book I included
tear outs from my SMASH pad's so they can record some
of their fave things when they were first married. This way
they can personalize it.

Second pg. of third tri-fold, the background text
is part of the dp but the trust stamp is by Donna Downey
and I love it.

Third pg. of third tri-fold, this is a cut out from the paper
pack and the yellow tab poking out is a die cut by Verve
that records the date they were married. The paper flowers
are by Bazzill and they flatten when you close the book. :)

These are the three die cut top loading photo/journal mats. The blue
one was die cut with a MFT bracket border and the other two
are Sizzix On the Edge border dies by T!m Holtz.

Okay, that's all for me today. I'm off to let someone pamper me and I can't wait. Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by. I enjoy your comments and feedback too so feel free to leave a little comment love. :) Good luck to everyone entering the design team call for CR84FN Color Challenge!
Hugs,
Lisa
