TE Calendar Challenge-June
Welcome! I'm back today to share my calendar for the Taylored Expressions Calendar Challenge-June and I used the 2012 TE Calendar Download. You can view the current challenge and a recap of the challenge rules if you click on the link above. I'm a big fan of TE's Key Ingredients Kit and I used paper and embellishments from February which featured MME Lost & Found Rosy. The kits make it a breeze to put a card, or any project, together quickly.
One lone flower is all the stamping I did and it's from TE's Friendship Blooms which I die cut with the coordinating die. The satin ribbon and lush pearl were part of the kit which made life easy for me.
Thanks for dropping by today, hope everyone has a great week!

TE Monthly Calendar Challenge
Hello and welcome! I'm back today with my April entry for the Taylored Expressions Calendar Challenge. Each month we are challenged to make a calendar using one of TE's calendars and any stamps we choose. They offer downloadable and pre-printed calendars and usually I choose the current month from the 2012 6x6 Dated Calendar Download but this month I opted for the 2012 Desktop Calendar Inserts.
I cropped it to fit on my 6x6 dp from Simple Stories Fabulous collection and since the background was stark white I used distress ink to soften it a bit. My calendar came together quickly with supplies from the April Key Ingredient Kit which Taylor offers as a subscription. The paper pad, ribbon and paper flowers were all part of the kit so no need to worry about everything coordinating. The corrugated cardboard butterfly was cut with a TE's Butterflies die and I applied pearl acrylic paint then dusted it with pink glitter and added three bliss pearls for embellishment. To finish I stamped the sentiment from Garden Party Blooms in Memento's Rich Cocoa ink and added some liquid pearls around the border. Simple & Sweet!
If you'd like to play along you can view the rules here on Taylor's blog and good luck.
Have an awesome weekend ,
Lisa

TE March Calendar Challenge
TGIF! So happy the weekend is here, how about you? This has been a crazy week but I took time yesterday to create this calendar for the monthly Taylored Expressions Calendar Challenge. The great thing is you do not have to link up, in case you get behind like me, in the current month. The linky stays open which gives you a lot of flexibility and there's a wonderful prize for those who participate in a minimum of ten months, a $150.00 gift certificate to the Taylored Expressions store. The one requirement you do have to meet is to use one of TE's calendar products per entry and they are available for download. Just click on the previous link then choose Supplies>Calendar Products and select which calendar you prefer to use, that's it.
For the month of March I wanted to focus on SPRING and Taylor's Spring A la Carte stamp is so cute I couldn't resist using it. I colored the image with Copic markers and added Orange Peel Stickles to the flower petals. For a touch of whimsy I die cut two clouds in an Echo Park polka dot dp and blue gingham ribbon adds a finishing touch.
That's all for me today and I hope you have the best weekend ever!
Lisa

TE February Calendar Challenge
Happy Saturday! I'm a tad late with this post but last month was a blur and this slipped my mind. This is my February entry for Taylored Expressions Calendar Challenge and the requirement is to use one TE calendar product for your submission. I used Taylor's 6x6 2012 calendar download which I trimmed and a dp from Echo Park's "Be Mine" provides a nice backdrop. The cute little lady is Cherie from Taylor's Moka stamp collection and I added some Fruit Punch Stickles by Ranger to the heart she is holding. Taylor is offering a wonderful resource and I downloaded the FREE Moka Hair & Skin Color Chart and colored her with Copic markers. I die cut a Favor Frame Die and stamped a border from A Little Love and used Glitz Teeny Alpha's in bubblegum pink pink for the month. The sentiment 'Je t'aime' is from Moka Cherie and 'Happy Valentine's Day' is from A Little Love. Glitter Dome Pale Pink bling provides a border and accents the page while the iridescent heart swirl bling adds some color and whimsy. Pink ruffled ribbon, by May Arts, adds some "fufu" while the rhinestones hearts & pink paper rose by Recollections completes my calendar. So there you have it, two months down and ten more to go!
Have fun papercrafting wherever you are and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

TE Calendar Challenge - January
Hi everyone, I'm here today with a brand spanking new challenge sponsored by Taylored Expressions. Taylor, owner & designer, is sponsoring the monthly TE Calendar Challenge and participants who enter 10 out of 12 months will be entered in a random drawing for $150 worth of TE stamps, dies and other supplies at the end of the year. If you're interested you can learn more about the deets on Taylor's blog post where she gives you the rundown and pick up the badge if you'd like to. I made TE inspired calendars from Taylor's 12 Days of Christmas in 2010 and they were a hit, now they are a regular item on my gift giving list so this challenge is right up my alley. You can join in now and create a calendar as a gift (or for yourself) and when she releases the new 2013 calendar in April you can get a jump start on next year's gift giving as well.
For my January calendar I started off with the 6x6 2012 calendar download and trimmed it from its original size. I chose the New Beginnings set because it has the perfect "new year" sentiment and it just happens to come with this gorgeous rose stamp which I used randomly on the calendar and on my die cut Take Note Frame 2. After I stamped my sentiment on the frame I added some coordinating pearls, sparkly yellow stickles to the roses and a butterfly to reinforce the "new beginnings" theme of this calendar. The 2012 6x6 calendars were designed with the month pre-printed on them and the blue hue for January did not work with the blue ink I chose so I found a solution by covering the title with tiny type alpha's. After I completed my calendar I cut a 6x6 piece of blue cardstock and mounted my calendar page to it and finished it off with blue gingham ribbon for some visual pop.
That's all for me today, hope your weekend is the best!
~Lisa
