Remnant Rub Resist
features one of my favorite Idea-ology products by Tim Holtz.
Inspiration for my tag came from the early signs of spring here in my corner of the world.
Hope you like it!
The Funkie Junkie is generously offering a
$25.00 gift certificate to one lucky CC3C'er.
We're following along with the technique challenges in Tim's Compendium of Curiosities III book and you can obtain an autographed copy here.
Here are a few close ups of my tag...
I used Botanical Remnant Resist rub ons to decorate my tag and two stamps from Tim's Urban Tapestry set. The speckled dot stamp was inked with Archival Forget-Me-Not ink and randomly stamped. The bird on a branch was inked with Walnut Stain distress ink and a black fine point Sharpie adds some definition to his/her eye. The background was created with distress stains and distress inks.
That's all for me today, thanks for the visit!

So cool, Lisa! Of course, that bird on a branch is one of my very favorite stamps. I'm using that in my art journal TODAY! Your Remnant Rubs look great, very dramatic here. Beautiful teaspoon of spring, thanks for sharing on CC3C!
Good grief, you knocked it out of the ballpark. The colors are so stunning and completely warming! You've done an excellent job on this challenge L1. I really, REALLY like this!!
hugs to you,

Lisa...this is simply stunning! I truly love the Remnant Rub images you've chosen to use for Tim's technique. Amazing! Your stamped bird just seems to be so comfortable at home among the flora and fauna. :) Beautiful background colors and wonderful design. Thanks so much for sharing with all of us at CC3C. <3 Candy
I LOVE the remnant rubs as an embellishment too. An easy, beautiful way to adorn projects and your tag is a great example of that. Such pretty color combinations and wonderful use of the rubs. Fantastic!
Beautiful tag, Lisa! Love the combo of rubs and stamping. Thanks for joining us at CC3C!
Have I told you lately that you make the most amazing tags?! Well, even if I have, here it is again! LOVE the bright inked background paired with with the darker colored images!
