Mid-Way Guest Designer Project

I'm back with a quick post to share my July GDT project for All Crafts Challenge. I'm not sure if it will actually be uploaded to the challenge blog as I got this to Elaine only yesterday. So sorry! It has been crazy around my house the last week or so and as most of you know I have a blog giveaway that ended last night and in seven short hours I'll be announcing my two winners. With all the hustle and bustle I forgot to email her a photo of my project, good grief! Oh well, if you don't see it there you're seeing it here lol.

I created a mixed media canvas using three of Tim's layering stencils-Latticework, Bubbles and Clockwork. I spread a light coat of Studio 490's white embossing paste over my stencils then colored my canvas with ink sprays. After it dried  I went back with a Faber-Castell Pitt Pen and added a deeper shade of pink in some areas. The photo was taken shortly before my daughter's  first dance recital at the age of seven. Neither my husband nor I were aware that she was the Prima Ballerina until I attended the dress rehearsal the night before. She simply neglected to mention it which is so like her. ;) As for the flowers they are a mix of Petaloo and Recollections blooms. The vintage trim is backed by a piece of white ribbon and it's from my mother's sewing stash making it extra special to both of us. The resin birdcage is by Melissa Frances and I used a silver Adirondack Paint Dabber and a black Faber-Castell Pitt Pen to alter it. The "treasure" chipboard piece is by Dusty Attic and it too was altered with paint dabbers in various pink and plum shades.

Click here to visit All Crafts Challenge and check out the mid-way inspiration provided by the design team. Also, I'd like to thank Elaine again for the invite to be the June/July guest designer.

Thanks for stopping by today and if you entered my giveaway be sure to check back in 7 hours for the announcement of my winners!

Have a terrific day,
Lisa

Åee et yndig LO af din lille pige som danserinde, mit yngste barnebarn har også gået til dans, din opstilling og farvevalg kan da ikke blive mere feminin, meget skønt. knus morkaren.

This is a gorgeous canvas layout, all the colors go so well with your daughter's dress, and there are lots of interesting details. But you've still managed to let the photo be the star of the show. It's a wonderful way to use a photo representing a great moment!

The perfect setting for a prima ballerina's photo! This is breathtakingly pretty and so very girly!
Your daughter must get her modesty from her mama!
